I think non of the teenagers have any plans on travelling to rare places or small countries with less attention paid. Well, you know, youngsters nowadays, nak show off that they've been to this place and that place, ofcourse to the places yang famous2. They will only think of Maldives, Miami or anywhere in the States, London, Paris, Boracay, Krabi and etc. But for seafarers, we have the privilege to even visit to a country or places that you never ever heard of. And plus, it's free! Have any one of you heard of Buenaventura Colombia? Callao Peru? San Antonio Chile? Caldera Costa Rica? Maybe to some. But these are the places that you will actually feel like in the video game, GTA. The real thugs are here. The Latino spirits is at the peak here. Despacito all day all night at the port and even the town/city. You will see people with their singlets on, "cerveza" on their right hand, cigar on the left. Police and their soldiers, roaming everywhere. Guns are like "bapok" in Malaysia. They're everywhere! Well this is not the point of bringing this topic up. What I'm trying to say is, these places, with the samseng and all, non would even cross their mind to go when actually these places are beautiful! The people are also actually very friendly once you're used to the way of how they approach you. I've met plenty people from these places and even have friends when I was serving onboard ship for 7 months in this route. I'll just share with you guys how Acapulco is because it will take me the whole day to just do this one entry. If you wanna dig more about my experience, other countries like Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, Buenaventura Colombia, Acajutla Nicaragua, Corinto Honduras etc., you can just go to my cabin we hang out or treat me good food outside or you can just stalk my Instagram @shahjulaihi

Hello Acapulco. They divide this dangerous beautiful resort city to 3 parts, as what the local told me, forgot the names, even Mr. Wiki couldnt help. This area in the picture is the modern area, the 2nd area is the old street, all the traditional old school stuff is in the picture below, uphill is El Guitarron, the ceremonial centre. |
