            Assalamualaikum and a very good day to whom has an interest of reading my writing "Freedom of Speech" regarding my thoughts towards "Leadership Qualities". I really wondered what is actually leadership? Who is really competent to be called as a Leader? What are the differences between a boss and a Leader? How is leadership is developed within one's character?

                   So, in order to make it simple, i would like to define that Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization or the ability to guide other people. Leadership actually can be cultivated or nurtured. My little advice, please don’t hold yourself back thinking that it is something you are either born with or not. For an example, even your father is a Prime Minister, a Leader for that country, it doesn't mean that you too will be crowned as Leader unless the Leadership qualities being nurtured within the family or at the school.

                   From my question, who is really competent to be called as a Leader? So, basically all people were born as a leader but the way how they manage with situation will show them as a leader or the follower. From my opinion, a good leader will have a big responsibility. So, whatever the situation occur, the leader will thought he will have high responsibility and also will be committed on that matter. He also should has determination and very passionate for what he will be doing. A good example of leader tends to listen and communicate very well with his follower.

                            Technically, people acknowledged a boss as a leader or vice versa. But, theoretically it is not as simple as that. Below is the picture show what are the differences between a boss and a leader. So, from the table you will be able to know that boss actually has high demands on the workers while the leader will coach his follower whatever the discussion and the result itself.

                              How is leadership is developed within one's character? First of all, a qualified leader will know how to stay independent himself rather than depending on others. Apart from that, he will know his own team and will build a good teamwork with his group. He also will take charge or responsible with the job regardless of being a follower. He also should have high credibility when leading a company and very competence for handling the workers.

                               In the nutshell, no matter who you are, if you have all the qualities that being mentioned, you are actually a leader. Thank you.
